January Detox and all the year round

You know the story, over indulgence during Christmas and the New Year then start 2009 promising to “give up the fags”, drink less, loose weight, eat more healthily and do more exercise.

Everything goes quite well for the first few days until the cravings get the upper hand and the adrenalin dwindels.

There is an answer though, Dont over do it, pick one thing and concentrate your efforts on this.

Detox
There is one easy way to detox and its to start with stopping adding more of the toxins, be it fags, booze chocolate, whatever your poison, cut back or stop.

There is no point going to the gym for an hour or two and then going on to the pub afterwards for some extra “weight lifting”.

Keep your January Detox sensible, after two weeks of over indulgence its not to hard to go the other way, the problem is with keeping up the new regime, so start off small, go with something managable and keep at it.

Stop Smoking
The number 1 thing to do for your health, nicotine replacement (patches/gum) has had good results with people going this route and there is plenty of help.

Drink Less
Again its a message we are familiar with and “in moderation” is a good attitude to adopt.
